Fence

Here is one of the 3 trees left in the front yard!
You must go thru the gate to get to the yard!

Mom with 2 of 3 trees left in the front yard!
View with no fence!

Yes this Saturday Mom had the fence taken down. The yard looks bigger without it. She is going to have lawn and sprinklers and a new fence put back up in the next few months.

The guy next door had a bin and a crew coming to do his yard so they did Mom's also. As you can tell we still have a gate it does not open but we have a gate. It is in the cement so it needs to be cut out so the cement is not broken.

So after 50+ years we no longer have a fence for awhile. David was not happy she took it all down he thinks everyone will now walk on our lawn I said what lawn it is all weeds!

I like it without the fence. And just who is going to walk on the lawn? Are there that many people that walk around and cut corners? Way to do something different grandma!

It looks great. I simply can't even imagine it without a fence but it will look good. I am glad that MOM went with the no fence idea.

    I like the open space.
And David can alwyas hide out in a tree with a water gun and get people that will cut the corner and walk across the weeds.

I too have no memory of the house without a fence - well, maybe a very vague memory.

    It does look different!!

Maybe take a shot from the front porch looking out - that would be interesting.

I agree--no fence is a nice change. And most people are considerate enough not to walk on other people's lawns. You might get kids playing football on your lawn now...when we lived in SLC our next-door neighbors were on the corner and had a big front and side lawn; the boys across the street were always using it to play football.
